Wickett Hern Road

Wickett Hern Road is a short break respite care service providing holiday-style accommodation for up to nine people with learning disabilities. The purpose-built house contains five bedrooms, communal areas and separate bathrooms. At the time of inspection, three people were receiving support, though only one was available to speak with inspectors.

The service is designed to enable people to live as full a life as possible and achieve the best outcomes. It operates according to best practice guidance, reflecting principles that recognise the need for people with learning disabilities and autism to live meaningful lives with control and choice.
