Whitwell Park

Whitwell Park provides nursing and personal care for up to 34 people with a learning disability, autism or other complex needs, across six units with adapted facilities. The CQC assessed the home following a serious incident, prompted by concerns about safe care, and rated it Good overall.

Inspectors found people and relatives happy with the care provided, with staff who knew people well and involved them in planning support. There was no registered manager at the time, and leaders had not been reporting safeguarding events to external agencies as required, though this was corrected once raised. Staff were described as well trained, and the environment was safe and well maintained.
