Hollybank Nursing Home

Hollybank Nursing Home is registered to provide personal and nursing care for up to 30 people, though at the time of the assessment it was not providing nursing care and had plans to de-register from this activity. It was caring for 26 people. The CQC rated the home Good overall, an improvement from its previous requires improvement rating, having found the provider was no longer in breach of regulations relating to safeguarding, safe care and governance.

Inspectors found people were protected from abuse, staff knew how to raise concerns, and appropriate mental capacity assessments and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards were in place. People and relatives spoke positively about the care provided and would recommend the home. However, further work was needed to ensure improvements to governance were fully embedded and sustained, leading to a requires improvement rating for leadership.
