About Wharfedale House - Care Home Physical Disabilities

Wharfedale House is a residential care home in Leeds providing support for older people, younger adults, and people with physical disabilities. The findings below set out what CQC inspectors found during their most recent visit.

Wharfedale House is a care home providing support for up to 18 older people, younger adults and those with physical disabilities. It was previously rated requires improvement, but the CQC found the service has since improved and is now rated Good overall. Inspectors found people received safe, person-centred care from caring and responsive staff, with strong governance and good working relationships with external agencies.

People and relatives spoke positively about feeling safe and involved in decisions, though some raised concerns about call bell response times, which audits did not support. Minor environmental issues, including roof leaks and areas needing repair, were noted, with the provider already addressing these through an improvement plan.
