Wetley Manor Care Home

Wetley Manor is a single-floor residential care home providing personal care and accommodation for up to 22 older people, some living with dementia, poor mental health, or physical disabilities. At inspection, 19 people were using the service. The home had implemented several thoughtful practices to support residents and their families. A dedicated sunroom allowed visitors to see and speak with relatives through an intercom system without masks, helping people with dementia recognise loved ones through facial expressions while maintaining safety. Staff wore appropriate personal protective equipment, and the provider had sourced masks with anti-fog strips to support staff who wear glasses. The domestic team had researched effective disinfectants and cleaning products in collaboration with the provider to ensure high standards of hygiene throughout the home. The provider also supported staff wellbeing by discussing any anxieties and signposting them to counselling services when needed.
