Westleigh

Westleigh accommodates up to 20 people requiring mental health support, with some older people also receiving care. The service, run by Warrington Community Living charity, had 16 residents at inspection. Facilities span two floors with communal living and dining areas, a garden, and an accessible lift.

While initial assessments of support needs and risks were undertaken, inspectors found some care records lacked relevant risk assessments and risks were not consistently recorded or monitored effectively. Quality and safety monitoring measures existed but proved inconsistent in practice. Medication processes required improvement in several areas. Staff supported people with maximum choice and control, using the least restrictive approaches aligned with their best interests, though one person's restrictions needed more regular monitoring. Safeguarding and whistleblowing policies were current and in place.
