Westfield Rest Home in Blackpool provides care for up to 17 people, some living with dementia or mental health needs. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, following concerns about the environment and moving and handling practices. Inspectors found breaches relating to safety, with unsecured premises and issues around equipment servicing, medicines management and infection control, alongside weak governance where checks did not consistently identify problems.

Despite this, staff were found to be kind and caring, knew people well, and supported them to maintain relationships with family. People spoke positively about meals, activities and staff, and feedback was used to shape care. Health needs were monitored well, and restrictions were applied lawfully where necessary.
