Elmsdene Care Home

Elmsdene Care Home is a residential care home providing support to older people, younger people and those living with dementia. Following a previous assessment, the CQC found some improvements had been made, but continued breaches remained in safe care and treatment and governance, with a new breach identified around consent. Health monitoring and governance processes still needed strengthening.

Inspectors found people were treated with kindness and respect, with staff supporting individual preferences and family relationships. People and relatives spoke positively about the food, cleanliness and atmosphere, describing staff as attentive and caring. Feedback processes worked well, though management systems still required further improvement to ensure full compliance with legal duties.
