The Owls is a large detached property in Blackpool with wheelchair access and parking, registered for 15 older people. At the time of inspection, 14 residents lived there.

Staff protected people from abuse and kept them safe through proper training. The registered manager recorded and audited incidents and accidents to learn from them. Recruitment practices were safe and staffing levels allowed residents to live as independently as possible whilst living with dementia.

Trained staff managed medicines safely, and infection control systems and audits maintained a clean environment and reduced risks.
