Westerfield House Care Limited is a residential home with nursing that provides personal care to up to 32 adults, some living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 29 people were residing there. The service maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout, with no unpleasant odours noted. Staff have received relevant training in infection control and prevention with their competencies regularly assessed by management. Adequate supplies of personal protective equipment are available at designated stations throughout the home, and staff were observed wearing PPE appropriately in line with national guidance.

Individual risk assessments are conducted in consultation with residents and their representatives, with regular reviews to ensure ongoing safety. The home has also assessed risks to staff regarding their health, safety and wellbeing, implementing appropriate control measures to mitigate identified risks.
