West Ridings Care Home

West Ridings Care Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 180 people, including those with mental health conditions, physical disabilities and dementia. At the time of the assessment, 75 people were living there across three operating units. The CQC rated the service inadequate overall and it remains in special measures, with continuing breaches around safe care, staffing and management oversight.

Inspectors found risks and medication were not always managed safely, care plans were sometimes inaccurate or not followed, and staffing levels left people waiting too long for help. Some people and relatives described kind staff, but overall the service was not consistently caring or well organised, and recent management changes had been poorly communicated to people and their families.
