About Earls Lodge Care Home
Earls Lodge Care Home is a nursing home in Wakefield, providing accommodation and personal care for older people and people living with dementia. The findings below set out what the CQC found on its most recent visit.
Earls Lodge Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 52 older people and people living with dementia, and was supporting 49 people at the time of assessment. This was a follow-up review prompted by concerns and previous breaches around safe care and governance. The CQC found no evidence to substantiate the concerns raised and enough improvement for the provider to no longer be in breach.
Inspectors found the home clean, with kind and caring staff and good access to support and activities, including community fundraising. However, some record-keeping gaps and building security concerns were identified, and governance systems did not always catch these issues. The home remains rated Good overall, though safety was rated Requires Improvement.
