West Park Care Home provides personal and nursing care to 28 residents aged 65 and over. The service has made improvements in how medicines are managed, recording of important information, and governance systems. People are safeguarded from abuse and harm, with risk assessments completed and reviewed as needs change.

Medicines are administered safely and as prescribed. Staff recruitment is safe with adequate staffing levels to support residents.

Some areas still need attention, particularly quality monitoring related to environmental checks and refurbishment plans. The registered manager is developing a plan to address these issues. Infection control systems are robust, with good planning for future outbreaks including COVID-19.

Residents and relatives speak very positively about staff, describing them as kind and thoughtful. The provider and registered manager have fostered a culture of openness and inclusiveness.
