Wentworth Close

Wentworth Close is a residential care home providing support for a small number of people with a learning disability and autistic people. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding that a previous governance breach had been resolved. Inspectors found a stable, skilled staff team who knew people well, supported daily activities, and responded sensitively to distress or anxiety.

Some weaknesses remained: house meeting and survey records did not properly capture people's views, and overlapping responsibilities between the manager and a support worker meant issues were not always addressed promptly. The dining room also doubled as an office space, which the provider was reviewing. Overall, people were seen to be relaxed, active and well cared for, with good family contact maintained.
