Welcome House - Leeza Court

Welcome House - Leeza Court is a residential care home in Leeds supporting people living with mental health conditions, registered for up to 16 people. The CQC rated the home inadequate and placed it in special measures after finding significant risks to people’s safety and wellbeing, including inconsistent support for mental health needs, unassessed ligature and fire risks, and failures to properly manage restrictions on people’s daily lives.

Inspectors also found the provider had not acted with openness when abuse allegations were raised, and had not reported these as required. Staff were kind and people spoke positively about their care, praising staff responsiveness, but governance failures meant risks went unidentified and unaddressed across the service.
