Waterside House

Waterside House is a purpose-built home providing personal care to 51 residents aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 60 people. The service operates across four separate wings with adapted facilities, one of which specialises in dementia care. Staff create a person-focused environment where medicines are administered safely and residents feel secure. Risk assessments are in place to protect residents' health and well-being, and the home learns from incidents when they occur. Staffing levels are adequate with trained personnel who understand safeguarding responsibilities and receive support in their roles. The home maintains infection control measures to protect residents from cross-infection. An inspection recommendation was made regarding clearer guidance for staff on administering 'when required' medicines.
