Could the NHS fund Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
Highcroft Hall provides accommodation and personal care to 42 older people, some living with dementia, with capacity for up to 52 residents. People felt safe living in the home and staff demonstrated knowledge of safeguarding procedures, with risk assessments in place to mitigate potential harm.
However, the management of prescribed medicines was not entirely effective, with some people not receiving their treatment as directed by prescribers. Not everyone using the service felt valued or important. The provider's governance systems were not completely effective in assessing, reviewing and monitoring the quality of care provided.
