Watermoor House

Watermoor House is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care to elderly people and those living with dementia, including some people with a learning disability. Following earlier enforcement action, the CQC found improvements had been made, particularly around medicines and governance, and the home is now rated requires improvement overall rather than inadequate.

Inspectors found people were kept safe, with sufficient staff, safe recruitment, and a clean, homely environment. Leadership was found to be effective, with an accessible management team and a culture focused on person-centred care. However, some people felt staff did not always listen to their views on medicines or mobility equipment, reflected in requires improvement ratings for caring, effective and responsive care.
