Warde Aldam

Warde Aldam is a care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 60 people across three separate units, two of which specialise in dementia care. At inspection, 58 people were using the service.

Inspectors found that risks to people were not always properly assessed, and hoisting records did not consistently contain sufficient information to keep people safe. Auditing systems existed but were not effective in identifying concerns. Inspectors discovered issues with infection control, fire safety and care plan records that the service had not identified itself. Some furniture and flooring appeared visibly stained with noticeable odours present in certain areas.
