Walton Manor

Walton Manor, in Wakefield, is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 47 people, most of them older adults. It was rated Requires Improvement overall by the CQC, following an assessment prompted by concerns raised about the service.

Inspectors found staffing levels were not reliably assessed against people's needs, medicines were not always managed safely, and some people were deprived of their liberty without proper authorisation. Governance systems were not robust enough to identify these issues. The CQC found four breaches of regulation, though staff interactions with residents and the activities on offer were seen positively.
