Victoria House

Victoria House accommodates up to 47 older people, including those living with dementia and mental health conditions, across six separate wings with adapted facilities. One wing specializes in dementia care while another supports people with mental health needs. During inspection, 33 people were using the service.

Staff demonstrated good safeguarding awareness and people felt safe. Care and risk support plans guided staff in providing safe care, though some risk assessments lacked sufficient detail and were improved during the inspection. Medicines were managed safely, and staff recruitment followed safe procedures with adequate staffing levels to meet people's needs. The home followed current government infection control guidance with no visiting restrictions in place. Incidents and accidents were responded to appropriately, with lessons learned when issues occurred.
