Valley View Court

Valley View Court is a specialist care home providing personal care and rehabilitation for older people, some living with dementia. The service offers short-term cognitive impairment assessment beds and rehabilitation support across five separate wings with adapted facilities, currently caring for 26 of its 50 registered capacity.

However, inspectors found significant safety concerns. People were at risk of harm because the provider had not consistently identified, assessed or mitigated risks. Medicines were not managed safely, and people with high nutritional needs were not receiving appropriate care. Management oversight failed to robustly identify necessary improvements, and systems for assessing, monitoring and mitigating risks to residents' health, safety and welfare were not consistently effective.
