About Rix House

Rix House is a residential care home in Bradford providing accommodation and support for people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. Further details from the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Rix House provides accommodation for up to 20 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder in a purpose-built setting with single rooms adapted to meet residents' needs. At inspection, 10 people lived at the home. The service demonstrated strong infection control practices during the pandemic, with staff receiving training in correct use of personal protective equipment and following prevention protocols.

Staff were observed wearing PPE correctly and had consistent access to supplies throughout the service. The home facilitated visits with relatives and friends by adapting to government guidelines, installing a visitor pod with microphone for safe contact, and arranging window visits. Professional visitors and relatives were tested before visits, with visiting professionals also providing evidence of vaccination status prior to entering the home.
