United Response - 29 Mayfair Avenue

United Response provides residential care and accommodation for up to four older people, some with learning disabilities and autism. At inspection, two people were using the service. Staff followed appropriate safeguarding procedures when incidents occurred and ensured people received necessary support to manage medicines safely. The team demonstrated knowledge of Mental Capacity Act principles and applied them appropriately in practice.

However, the service lacked robust quality assurance processes for the registered manager to monitor care quality, staff training needs, and accuracy of records. While staff were not consistently supported to update their knowledge and skills, the manager took immediate action to address this. Care plans required more detailed information about specific risks to people and how these impacted them. Communication aids also needed updating, which the management team agreed to implement immediately.
