Tynedale House

Tynedale House provides residential care and accommodation for up to 30 people with learning disabilities and/or autism, some of whom also have physical disabilities and dementia-related conditions. At inspection, 21 people were using the service. Staff had completed infection prevention and control training and worked with the local infection prevention and control nurse to meet local and national requirements. The home had implemented additional cleaning schedules for high-touch surfaces throughout the day and had measures in place for essential visitors, with hand sanitisers available on arrival and departure. Service users were supported to understand safety measures during the pandemic, including social distancing where possible. The home participated in the national testing programme for all service users and staff, and quality assurance audits were regularly completed to ensure safe infection control practices and identify areas for improvement.
