About Tuscany House

Tuscany House is a residential care home in Surrey, providing support for people with a learning disability and autistic people. The findings below set out what the CQC most recently observed there.

Tuscany House is a residential care home providing support to up to 7 people with a learning disability and autistic people, with 6 people living there at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding it met expectations following an inspection prompted by concerns at a neighbouring service run by the same provider. Previous breaches around person centred care, safe care and governance had been resolved, with a newly refurbished environment, safe medicine management and detailed care plans.

Inspectors found staff knew people well and worked closely with health professionals to support wellbeing. Relatives spoke positively, describing family members as happy, settled and safe. People were supported to access the community or enjoy activities at home where anxiety made outings difficult.
