About Thorn Park Care Home

Thorn Park Care Home is a residential care home in Plymouth, providing care for older people, including those living with dementia. Details of the most recent CQC assessment are set out below.

Thorn Park Care Home provides residential care for up to 37 older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC carried out a focused assessment after receiving concerns, looking at how safely the home operates and how it is led. Overall the service remains rated good, though inspectors found two breaches of regulations relating to safe care and treatment and to governance.

People living at the home and their relatives told inspectors they felt safe and well cared for, with regular checks and involvement in care planning. Despite this positive feedback, the CQC found that some elements of care did not fully meet expected standards.
