About The Whitby Scheme

The Whitby Scheme is a residential care service operating across separate homes in North Yorkshire, providing accommodation and support for vulnerable adults. Further findings from the Care Quality Commission's most recent inspection are set out below.

The Whitby Scheme provides accommodation and care across three separate homes for up to 35 people. Abbey House, the most recently added facility, accommodates six people, while the other two homes provide care for the remaining residents.

During the unannounced inspection, inspectors found that the homes offered adapted facilities tailored to residents' needs. The service supports vulnerable people who require residential care and support, with each location maintained as a distinct unit to enable more personalised care delivery.
