The Red House Nursing Home

The Red House Nursing Home accommodates up to 32 people across three floors, providing nursing care. At the time of inspection, 26 people were living at the home.

Inspectors found that practices did not always keep people safe from avoidable harm. Safeguarding referrals had not always been made to the local authority when required, and significant events such as skin tears and a fractured thumb had not been notified to the CQC as required. The home carried out recruitment checks and used agency workers to cover staffing gaps.
