The Orchards Residential Home

The CQC found the home was rated Good overall, having resolved earlier breaches relating to medicines management. Records and risk plans were now clear, audits were effective, and staff had received appropriate training to meet people’s needs.

Inspectors found staff were kind and compassionate, with care plans reflecting people’s individual preferences. People said they felt safe, trusted staff, and received consistent care from familiar faces, with the new manager already getting to know them well. The provider showed evidence of learning from incidents and sharing lessons with staff.
