The Orchards Residential Care Home

The Orchards provides personal care to 13 people, some living with dementia, in a single adapted building featuring two communal lounges, a dining area, and accessible garden. Staff demonstrated good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and medicines were managed safely. While risk assessments were in place, some improvements were needed to ensure guidance was accurate for staff delivering care. The registered manager committed to increasing staffing levels across the day following the inspection to better meet people's changing needs. Staff completed training to support residents' care requirements, and people were supported to maintain adequate nutrition and hydration.
