Lydia Eva Court accommodates up to 89 older people, some living with dementia, across an adapted building with three separate units on two floors. At the time of inspection, 84 residents were living in the home. The accommodation includes en-suite bedrooms, communal areas, and enclosed outdoor spaces.

During the inspection, inspectors observed the quality of care provided to residents and examined the premises. The home's previous rating in December 2016 had been "requires improvement" across safe, effective, responsive and well-led domains.
