The Old School House

The Old School House is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to younger adults with autism, learning disability and sensory impairment. The service is registered for up to 18 people and currently supports 18 residents. While larger than typical domestic properties, the building design fits well into the residential area and blends in with other similar-sized homes nearby. Staff are encouraged not to wear uniforms when accompanying people in the community, helping residents maintain privacy and dignity in their local area.

The service places people at the heart of its operations, providing person-centred support that emphasises control, choice and independence. Residents benefit from planned and coordinated care that is appropriate and inclusive for their individual needs, enabling them to live meaningful lives within the community.
