The Minstrels Residential Home

This residential home provides personal care for up to 32 older people, with 14 residents living there at the time of inspection. The service had implemented effective systems to ensure visitors followed government guidelines for wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including screening questions and temperature checks for all visitors. Supplies of PPE such as masks, gloves, aprons and hand sanitiser were readily available for staff throughout the home.

Staff had received training in current Infection Prevention and Control guidance and the proper use of PPE, ensuring they were equipped to maintain safe practices within the service.
