The Mews

The Mews provides personal care and support to younger adults with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, or physical disabilities. At inspection, eight people were using the service, supported by enough suitably trained staff who had been recruited safely. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible, with care plans and risk assessments reflecting individual needs and preferences. Staff demonstrated knowledge of the support each person required.

People were supported to maintain hobbies, try new interests, and access voluntary work. They received support preparing meals and drinks and following a healthy diet. Medicines were stored and administered safely. People could access health and social care professionals when needed. The registered manager was described by people, staff, and relatives as approachable, with people confident they could raise any issues. Quality monitoring systems were in place to check people received high quality care.
