The service had implemented comprehensive infection control measures, including PPE stations positioned throughout the home and at the entrance. Staff supported visitors in following safe protocols, including temperature checks and symptom screening before entry. The home was planning to install visiting pods with Perspex screens to enable safe visits in line with procedures. For people who were shielding or self-isolating, PPE stations were set up inside or just outside individual bedrooms to maintain safety and dignity.
