The Kent Autistic Trust - 11a Curlew Crescent

11a Curlew Crescent, in Medway, is a residential care home supporting up to six people with a learning disability and autistic people. All six places were occupied at the time of the assessment, and the home's rating has changed from Outstanding to Good. Inspectors found that risks around constipation were not always well managed, though other health risks such as epilepsy and diabetes were handled well, and people were kept safe from harm.

People and relatives spoke positively about the home, describing staff as kind, trustworthy and attentive to individual preferences. People were supported to access the community, take part in activities they enjoyed, and maintain relationships with loved ones. The environment was well maintained and suited to people's needs.
