The Glen Care Home

The Glen Care Home, in Lancashire, provides nursing care for up to 85 people, including those living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall. Inspectors found people were kept safe, well cared for and supported by kind, attentive staff who knew them well, with families speaking highly of the care provided.

Some improvements were still needed, including ensuring care plans and monitoring records held accurate, up-to-date information, and further work on medicines management records. The provider had already begun addressing these issues during the assessment and had action plans in place. Overall, the home was found to be well-led, clean and appropriately staffed.
