The Gables

The Gables provides accommodation and personal care for up to 13 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. Each resident has their own flat with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, with nine flats available in total—some single, some double. The service also includes a small communal kitchen, dining area and living room. At the time of inspection, nine people were using the service. Residents receive planned and coordinated person-centred support designed to help them live meaningful lives with control, choice and independence. The property is larger than typical domestic-style homes, which exceeds current best practice guidance for services of this type.
