About The Chase Care Centre

The Chase Care Centre is a nursing home in Hertfordshire, providing accommodation and nursing care for adults with a range of complex health and care needs. Further details on how the service performs are set out in the CQC findings below.

The Chase Care Centre provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 110 people aged 18 and over with complex health and care needs. The service is divided across three floors within six separate units and supports people with acquired brain injuries, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and dementia. At the time of inspection, 109 people were living at the service.

People and relatives told inspectors they felt safe. Staff were trained and knowledgeable in safeguarding, and risks to health, safety and wellbeing were identified, assessed and reviewed regularly. Medicines were managed safely and strong infection prevention and control procedures were followed.

The service analysed incidents and accidents to drive improvements, and staff were recruited safely with all relevant pre-employment checks completed.
