The Callywhite Care Home

The Callywhite Care Home provides residential personal care for up to 39 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia. Care is delivered across three floors with communal rooms available on each level.

During inspection, inspectors identified inconsistencies in the quality of care experienced by residents. People were not consistently supported to make choices about their lives, and staff did not always support them in the least restrictive way possible or in line with their best interests. The home's policies and systems did not adequately support these practices. Additionally, arrangements to help people with decision-making were inconsistent, and some residents were being deprived of their liberty to access facilities.
