The Bungalow

The Bungalow is a residential care home providing personal care to four people with learning and physical disabilities, with capacity for up to five. The service supports people to live meaningful lives with choice, control and independence. Staff provide person-centred support in the least restrictive way possible, and there are systems in place to safeguard people from abuse with staff understanding their protective responsibilities.

At the time of inspection, there was concern that minimum staffing levels had not always been maintained in the preceding weeks, though the provider was actively recruiting and taking appropriate action to address this. People's needs are appropriately assessed to develop effective care plans, and staff receive ongoing training to meet people's specialist needs. Managers and staff demonstrate reflective practice to continuously improve the care provided.
