The Avenue Nursing Home

The Avenue Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 57 people, including those living with dementia. The CQC found the service was performing well overall, with medicines managed safely, staff who knew people well, and a good range of regular activities on offer. Staff were recruited and trained appropriately, giving people confidence in their care.

Previously rated requires improvement due to a breach around medicines management, the home has since made improvements and is no longer in breach. People and relatives spoke positively about staff attentiveness and understanding of dementia care, and families were free to visit whenever they wished.
