The Avenue Nursing Home

This purpose-built care home accommodates up to 64 people across two floors, with 47 residents at the time of inspection. The ground floor supports people with personal care needs, including some with early-onset dementia, while the first floor cares for people with more complex needs and advanced dementia.

Inspectors found that people were not always safe, as medicines were not managed safely. The systems and processes in place lacked sufficient robustness and had failed to identify these issues. However, residents received person-centred care that was reflected in their care records and tailored to their individual needs.
