Tanglewood

Tanglewood, in Cornwall, is a residential care home supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people. It was newly registered and had been operating for just over a year when the CQC carried out its first assessment, rating the service good overall.

Inspectors found staff knew people well and provided highly personalised, person-centred care, with families closely involved before moves took place. Risks were managed well and people were supported to pursue hobbies and try new experiences. The CQC found a particularly strong culture of leadership and learning, with staff feeling valued and confident, and relatives spoke warmly of the care provided.
