Sycamore Rise Residential Care Home

Sycamore Rise Residential Care Home supports up to 32 younger and older adults, including people living with dementia or mental health needs. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, finding it remained in breach of regulations around safe care, staff recruitment checks and governance. Inspectors found risks were not always properly documented, infection control needed improvement, and medicines were not always safely managed.

Despite this, families and residents spoke positively about staff kindness and privacy, and people said they were happy with food, cleanliness and access to health professionals. Some raised concerns about waiting times for support, and a new call bell system has been introduced to help monitor this.
