Sunnywell

Sunnywell Care Home provides personal care for up to 15 people with learning disabilities and autism. At inspection, 9 people were living at the service. Inspectors found that medicines were not always managed safely and cleaning procedures did not ensure a hygienic environment. Not all staff had received sufficient training to carry out their roles effectively, and people were not adequately protected from the risk of harm. However, staff demonstrated knowledge of people's individual and complex health needs, and mostly supported them to have maximum choice and control over their lives using the least restrictive approach possible.

Support plans and risk assessments relating to health needs had been completed but lacked sufficient person-centred information to adequately protect residents' health and welfare.
