Sunnycroft Care Home

Sunnycroft Care Home provides residential care and accommodation for up to 59 people, with particular expertise in supporting those with dementia. At the time of the inspection, 33 residents lived at the home, which is arranged across two floors, each with separate communal areas.

The inspection identified significant concerns regarding the home's management and safety systems. Governance systems failed to adequately monitor care quality, and risks to residents' safety had not been properly assessed or managed. The systems designed to protect people from abuse were found to be ineffective. While staffing levels were sufficient to maintain basic safety, they were insufficient to provide adequate care to residents.
