Stockwood House

Stockwood House is a specialist care home supporting up to six people with eating disorders, one of only a few facilities of its kind across the country. At the time of inspection, the service was supporting six residents. The home demonstrated strong infection control practices, with clear signage about COVID-19 procedures, full PPE availability for staff and visitors, and rigorous cleaning schedules maintaining clean and tidy premises. Staff were observed correctly wearing PPE at all times and had received training from the local Infection Prevention and Control nurse. The home worked closely with health and social care professionals to meet residents' health needs and had procedures in place to separate facilities in case of outbreak. Residents were actively supported to maintain contact with family and friends, both through designated visits to the home and visits outside to see loved ones.
