STEPS Neurological and Trauma Rehabilitation Centre

STEPS Neurological and Trauma Rehabilitation Centre is a purpose-built care home providing specialist rehabilitation services to people with neurological conditions, stroke, spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, and complex trauma injuries. The length of stay varies depending on each person's rehabilitation programme. At inspection, 21 people were living at the home, with capacity for up to 23.

People feel safe at the service and staff have received safeguarding training with systems in place to recognise and respond to any abuse allegations. Medicines are stored safely and administered as prescribed, and safe recruitment procedures ensure staff are suitable. Staffing levels are adequate to meet people's care and support needs in a timely way, with effective infection control systems operating throughout the home. Staff support people to have maximum choice and control of their lives, using the least restrictive approaches possible and acting in their best interests.
