St Stephen's Care Home

St Stephen's Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 51 people, including younger adults, older people and those living with dementia. At the time of assessment 45 people were living there. The CQC rated the service requires improvement overall, the same as its previous rating, and found two breaches of regulation relating to safety and governance.

Inspectors found people and relatives generally spoke positively, describing staff as helpful and compassionate, and people enjoyed the food and choices available. However, some people waited for staff assistance, and staff did not always respect people's dignity, so further improvement was needed in safety and leadership.
